Welcome

We have recently made changes to our website and now have a fresh, updated look with several new and improved features. In an effort to help our citizens become good voting citizens, we maintain this site to provide as much information as possible concerning the election and voting process.  Answers to the most frequently asked questions are provided.  Use the pull down menu above to browse through our site or click on the quick search buttons to the right for pages that are frequently visited.  During local elections, we will provide accurate & timely online election results.  Just click on the "Election Results" button.  We have also added a calender of important dates that are also located to the right. We hope that this site will serve Liberty County's citizens well.  If you have any suggestions or comments on how to improve this site, e-mail us at vote@libertyelections.com & we will do our best to incorporate your ideas into our site.

                                    PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY

The Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.  It will be a closed primary for registered Republican voters only.  Voters registered as Democrats, No Party Affiliation or any minor political party are not eligible to vote in this election.

Due to the small number of registered Republicans in Rock Bluff - Pct. 1 and Sumatra - Pct. 7, 101.001 F.S. allows us to combine those precincts to a nearby precinct.

                                   FOR THIS ELECTION ONLY

Rock Bluff republican voters will vote at Bristol - Pct. 3
located at City Hall, 12444 NW Virginia G.
Weaver Rd., Bristol

Sumatra republican voters will vote at Telogia - Pct. 6
located next to
Thompson Store, 20064 NE SR 65 in Telogia.

Absentee ballots are now available.  To request your ballot, you may call our office at 643-5226 or click here to enter your request.

Early voting will begin Saturday, January 21st and continue through Saturday, January 28th at the Supervisor of Elections' office.  Check out the calendar to the right for the early voting hours each day.

                  Special Notice to Potential Candidates
                                    for 2012 Elections

Following the passage of HB 1355, 99.021(1)(b)(2) F.S. has changed the candidate oath that must be signed in order to qualify for public office.  As part of that change, the candidate is required to state in writing, "That the person has not been a registered member of any other political party for 365 days before the beginning of qualifying preceding the general election for which the person seeks to qualify."  This means that the last date a candidate could have changed their party and run under that party in the primary was last June , 2011.  Therefore, if a potential candidate has changed his or her party affiliation within the 365 day period, he or she may only run as a "No Party Affiliation" candidate.
